Laurent took his client up to la Pointe de Berthe at 1992 meters from Le Charny, there was 15cm of fresh snow, no tracks except from rabbits, foxes and mountain goats. They both had a great time!

It's warming up and there's definitely a feeling of spring in the air - look at the photo of the horses who have just popped into town and walked straight past the office (not remotely worried about stopping the traffic for as long as they need to!)
The first week of April brought lots of beginners of all ages out to Morzine, all of whom did brilliantly - even with a little bit of rain at the end of the week everybody finished wanting more! More advanced skiers got a good tour of the Morzine/Les Gets area, where the snow's holding up even at this late stage of the season.

Check out Dani’s 1st star class on their trip over to Les Gets at the end of the week, making the most of lovely quiet pistes and plenty of sunshine. All the instructors have said how hard their classes worked for the week, so congratulations to everyone!

Spring has sprung and it’s beautifully sunny with the snow holding up nicely. Looking forward to welcoming next weeks classes on Monday morning!

Look at the progress the beginners’ classes made this week with Marie Laure and Laurent! By the end of the week even the littlest were doing their snow ploughs confidently and everyone had had a good taste of the mountains (helped by the beautiful sunshine). Both Laurent and Marie Laure were very impressed with everyone’s hard work, and hope that everyone’s first experience on the snow was a positive one!

With snow forecast on Sunday and Monday we're about to have a pause from the heat wave that we've been enjoying in the Portes du Soleil for the last couple of weeks! Another beautiful week here in Morzine and the temptation to get away from the pistes and explore the back-country has crept up on some guests! In order to make the most of it safely, they went with Luc who guided them to his favourite secret spots where they discovered the best snow (and the best restaurants, no doubt!). Another beautiful week in Morzine saw lots of Snow School students in Laurent's 1st star class schussing, slaloming and sight-seeing! At the end of the week some had earned their 1st star, and others had made huge progress towards achieving it, so well done to everybody.

What a wonderful few weeks we’ve had here in Morzine! The half term period saw lots of people taking advantage of the great snow (which handily fell just before people arrived and over night) and the fabulous sunshine! The pistes were in great order with plenty of powder just off the side for people who wanted to play in it.
Lessons went brilliantly, we’ve had lots of good feed back from people who enjoyed their courses – we’ve passed on all comments to instructors who are all looking very pleased that you enjoyed their classes!
